Cpl David Bingham.
David Bingham was a 22 year old married man with 2 children who was a full time member of the regiment. Cpl Bingham was abducted on his way to the Royal Victoria Hospital from his home in Lisburn by the IRA, it is believed that his car was hijacked at random but when they realised they had a member of the security forces they murdered him as well. His car was used by the IRA as a get away car in a bomb attack in Belfast and his car was later found in Donegall Avenue. The next day Cpl Bingham's body was found in the boot of another abandoned car in Instition Place, Belfast.
