Private Robert J Mc Nally.
Robert Mc Nally died on the 15th March after an INLA booby trap bomb exploded under his car on the 6th March. He was leaving West Street car park, Portadown. It was the first recorded incident of the use of a mercury tilt device.

Private Alexander Gore.
A full time soldier who had only been married for 4 months and was survived by a pregnant wife. He died after the IRA mounted an attack on the Malone Road barracks from the back of a lorry, they fired over 40 rounds and threw a grenade.

As well as the death of Pte. Gore 3 other soldiers were also injured.
