David Chambers.
David Chambers was a part time
member of the UDR and was murdered by PIRA near the Bomore factory
were he worked.
Two gunmen waited in ambush behind a hedge on the
Inn Road, Dollingstown for David Chambers to arrive for work on
his motorbike, as he approached one of the gunmen opened fire
with a shotgun knocking David off the bike and while the other
ran forward and shot him four times whie he lay on the road.
Two police officers attending the scene were injured
by a device that had been left by the terror group with the aim
of murdering anyone who came to the aid of the murdered soldier.
